Neu erworbene Sorgen
Unsere Familie hat zuwachs bekommen. Belly und Button, ein 2 Monate altes Shih Tsu Pärchen welches Mai aus Manila mitgebracht hat. Wir hatten schon eine weile darüber gesprochen, auch um vielleicht welpen zu züchten. Und als Sie welche in Manila gefunden hat, haben wir kurzerhand welche gekauft.
Our family just got bigger. Belly and Button, a pair of 2 month old Shih Tsus which Mai brought from Manila. We talked about that for quite a while, as well to maybe breed them in the future. Now she found them in Manila, and we just bought them.
Das sind 2 lebenslustige, quirlige und liebe Kneul, die wir alle hier gleich ins Herz geschlossen haben. Und die uns. Ich werde morgens schon begrüsst und es wird gefordert das ich spiele oder Sie durch die gegend trage.
Leider war es heute morgen anders. Belly, das Mädchen, hatte blutigen Durchfall, und seit gestern hatte Sie ein wenig schnupfen. Ihre Augen waren voller Schleim und sie wollte an sich gar nix machen. Auch Button, der Junge, war recht unlustig und schlief lieber.
Wir haben Belly dann gleich geschnappt und zum Tierarzt gebracht. Der hat dann gemeint das es sich hier um Parvo handeln könnte, ein Virus der bei Welpen oft tödlich ist. Es wurde dann gleich verschieden Antibiotika gespritzt und alles mögliche zum Aufputschen verschrieben. Parvo greift in geringem Mase das Herz und ganz stark den Dickdarm an. Sprich Mineralstoffe und Vitamine werden nicht mehr aufgenommen. Im schlimmsten Falle öffnet sich der Dickdarm und verbindet sich anders oder neu.
Button haben wir dann auch zum Tierarzt gebracht, um Antibiotika spritzen, den der Virus ist unter Hunden hochansteckend, und Button hat auch schon die ersten Symptome gezeigt…
Wir müssen jetzt hoffen und schauen das die beiden genug Wasser zu sich nehmen und ggf zwingen zu essen und medikamente verabreichen. Besserung sollte nach 2-3 Tagen eintreten. Belly ist jetzt gerade etwas fideler als heute morgen, und sie hat gegessen, aber Button hat im moment noch keinen Appetit.
These are two lovely, lively and friendly hairballs, which everybody fell instantly in love with. And they with us. I am greeted in the morning and have to play with them or carry them around.
But today was different. Belly, the girl, had bloody loose bowels and a slight sneeze since yesterday.Her eyes where full of phlegm and she was all listless. And Button, the boy was as well listless and slept a lot.
We took Belly immediately to the Vet. He said that it could be Parvo, a Virus which is often deadly with puppies. He gave her antibiotic shots, and he gave us a long list with vitamins, minerals and other medicine which we have to give her. Parvo attacks secondary the heart and primary the bowels. It means that minerals and vitamins are not digested. In the worst case the intestines open and attach themselves differently.
Button was brought to the Vet as well to get antibiotics, because the virus is highly contagious with dogs, and Button showed the first symptoms.
We have to wait and see now and have to give them enough water and force-feed them if necessary and give them their medicaments. They hopefully get better after 2 or 3 days. Right now Belly is a bit livelier than this morning, and she ate earlier. But Button didn’t eat yet…
